My fiancé and I came during Jose and our wedding was scheduled during some high winds and rain.
Barbara was very easy to work with, changing the time of our ceremony in total 3 times to make sure we were able to get married on the beach as I dreamed and just miss the rain during an hour window.
Even though we had not met Barbara until right before the ceremony, she made us feel at ease and like we had known her for years.

Everyone at our wedding raved about her. She was wonderful!

If you are coming from out of town or in town and need someone I would highly suggest using her- she is amazing
We also wanted our ceremony to be based around our blended family and to include the children which she did perfectly

From the first moment of contact to the day of our wedding Barbara was a true pleasure to work with. We live over 6 hours away and she always stayed on top of everything and even sent us TONS of links to wedding resources in the area to make our long distance wedding planning a breeze! On July 29th, three days before our wedding ceremony the island was under a mandatory evacuation for all visitors due to the island wide power outage. Emotions ran high as we could not believe another obstacle would stand in the way of their dream wedding. Luckily we found a hotel in Nags Head for a few days and Barbara and Jenni (Epic Photography) agreed to change the location off the island, to make their wedding dreams come true. It may have only been us and our three children, but is was the most beautiful wedding I could ever dreamed of.

Barbara was so sweet and her sermon was so heartfelt it brought my husband and I to tears. The short time we had with Barbara made you feel like you knew her years and we will never forget the beautiful ceremony she performed.

What a heartfelt ceremony!!! Reverend Mulford is an awesome officiant. She replied to our emails/phone calls right away (leading up to and the day of the wedding) i got married in front of our rental home and even our neighbors watching from their deck said it was a beautiful ceremony – we could tell that she put a great thought and effort in officiating the ceremony!! we highly recommend!

We went through dozens of websites before finding Barbara. Once we saw her website, we knew she was the one.
We are in Ohio, and we had a ceremony up here so our family would be present to hear our vows and then we had a big party for friends and family. But, we wanted to be officially married in the Outer Banks which is like home. We are hoping to relocate down there after the last child is out of college!!

We got a hold of Barbara and she was to marry us on Valentine’s Day this year which fell on a Sunday. We needed to be at the government offices on Friday to obtain our marriage license.

Well, we were in town on that Friday, but we took our time checking into the beach house and shopping. A snowstorm actually hit that weekend, and it was bad enough on Friday to close the government offices early so we could not obtain our marriage license!

So, Barbara was gracious enough to meet us on Jeanette’s Pier anyway on Sunday, which was so cold and blustery, and we went ahead with the ceremony. But, Barbara could not pronounce us husband and wife without our marriage license. So, she had us meet at the government offices first thing the next morning with our witnesses in tow, and we finished our ceremony there!

She handled all the paperwork and even gave us marriage certificate with Valentine’s Day as the date! She was so wonderful about the whole thing and having to meet twice!

She made it fun and we have a great story to tell! She was kind and compassionate! She made our experience very special and we will always cherish what we shared with her on the pier and at the government office. She had beautiful words for us and it meant so much that she was the one to make it official for us!

We feel we made a friend for life and we will recommend her to everyone!
