About Rev. Barbara
I have called the beautiful Outer Banks of North Carolina “home” since 1983. For the past 7 years my life has been enriched and truly blessed by my work with Parkinson’s Disease and hospice patients. Each of my “special loved ones” keep me in the here and now and remind me to live every day to the fullest. I know that giving is better than receiving. “Love” sums up the experience. In 2011 I was honored to receive the North Carolina Governor’s Award for Volunteer Service. I am also an artist, painting primarily landscapes in acrylics. My paintings can be seen at the Dare County Arts Council Gallery where I serve on the Gallery Committee.
Serving you as your wedding celebrant (I believe that “wedding celebrant” more accurately describes this vocation than “wedding officiant”) would be my honor. My couples find me comforting, loving and professional. By listening to your desires, offering suggestions and paying attention to details, together we can create a wedding ceremony that joyously celebrates your union, touches your soul and inspires your loved ones who are in attendance.
I do everything possible to provide the most professional care and service for each couple. And you have peace of mind knowing that you have a binding contract with me and I will be there with you every step of the way. From the time of day, to the words you say, your wedding is all about the two of you. My goal is to ensure that your ceremony is every bit as beautiful as the love you share.
